Digital Photo Technique
Joy and I have been experimenting with technique that Erik at MudFire in Atlanta told me about, using polarizing filters and polarizing gels to cut the glare and sharpen colors.
Some pieces, like this one with a very shiny glaze, are difficult to photograph with out excessive glare. But with a linear polarizing gel over the lights and a polarizing filter on your DSL you can dial it away.

Now, as you can see, it is not perfect but it is much better. And we only tried it once so I am sure we can improve it.
But if you like this and other techniques to make your ceramic images better....we still have a couple of openings in the Digital Photo Class July 19.
