Luke Nealey

Got an email from Luke Nealey the other day with a nice glaze combination he found. First do two coats of Persimmon 2 and one coat of Hamada Rust and fire in Oxidation to cone 10. He is trying to get a nice photo for us but I tried a similar test while we are waiting.

Persimmon 2 cone 10 (page 74 in my book)

48.5 Custer Feldspar

21.9 Silica

6.3 Kaolin

6.3 Talc

10.0 Bone Ash

7.2 Gerstely Borate

11.0 Red Iron Oxide

And then one coat of Hamada Rust:

Hamada Rust cone 10 (page 70 )

77.0 Custer Freldspar

0.1 Silica

6.2 Whiting

4.3 Kaolin

12.4 Gerstely Borate

7.5 Red Iron Oxide
