I saw this on the Greek island of Samos where Pythagorus lived and invented this cup. The owner of the handmade gift shop explained that the idea of the cup (also known as the fairness cup & sometimes the greedy cup) applies to the affect of excess in one's life, including exploiting the environment. They are still handmade by local artisans. Very Cool - I was trying to figure out how to make one - Thank you, John, for demonstrating!
