POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: WARREN WILSON COLLEGE SEEKS FULL-TIME FACULTY IN SCULPTURE/MATERIAL ARTS
The Department of Art at Warren Wilson College seeks applicants for a full-time faculty position in Sculpture and Material Arts, beginning July 1, 2014. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to teach sculpture and 3-D design, as well as experience with a variety of 3-D media and an interest in traditional and contemporary sculpture and craft techniques. The position requires teaching the equivalent of six, four-credit hour courses per year in beginning through advanced sculpture courses, 3-D design, and a Freshman Seminar course. Participation in the Senior Project course as a primary instructor and/or mentor is required, as is advising art majors and/or first year seminar students. Warren Wilson has recently received a grant to support growth and innovation in material arts. This position, partially funded through the grant, will work closely with Asheville’s Center for Craft, Creativity & Design.
