Thanks for a great Clay Club!

BIG thanks to Mike and Michon for hosting Clay Club last night.  Mike Ball demonstrated an old-timey Catawba Valley potters' technique for throwing a 2-piece jug.  In and around the 18th century, Catawba Valley potters were paid by the piece and so developed time-efficient throwing methods.  Get you a copy of Turners and Burners to learn more about the rich history of folk pottery in North Carolina- a staple for every potters' library.
