We just always thought of them as milkweed not poke.
ReplyDeleteI think the proper high faluting spelling is Poke Salet or Poke Salat; some call it Pokeweed as well.

I always love these berries because they attract Cedar Waxwings in swarms during the fall and early winter.

My kids smash the berries to draw on stuff or themselves. They looked like Afghan voters last week.
