A mole is 6.03 x 10 to the 23 atoms. So whatever the atomic weight is, you take that weight of the material and you have a mole. A mole of each material will have a different weight. So kaolin's atomic weight is 254 so 254 grams is a mole.
At least that is my understanding.
You can use that information to make glazes that don't run at cone 13, so you don't have to grind shelves!
I take it as 1 mole equals 60 grams. What's the significance of the mole and how would I use it?
