Here is our crew from Clay Hand Studios in Fresno, California. Great group!

Making some new work for next weekend. Still a few spots open for the glaze discussion. Only 2 days ...should be very informative and fun. johnbrittpottery.com/workshops #johnbrittpottery #johnbrittworkshopsarefun #johnbritt #glazetest #glazes #glazeworkshops #glazework #ceramicmaterials #ceramicmaterialworkshop #pottery #pottery_lovers #potteryglaze #potteryglazes

Another example. Got this tile in Baton Rouge at the Alligator Clay Workshop. It was on Temmoku Gold with some amount of Cobalt but I just never had time to test these things. I had another one also at the Swanee workshop but at cone 10 in Haynes white. I will do a little work before the upcoming Asheville Village Potters workshop March 9-10.

Had a great weekend at Dunedin Fine Art Center in Florida. This was a set by Maria Turinsky of John's Straw Ash Base with Cobalt carbonate. I will work on this a bit in the next couple of days and get some details. Has possibilities! #dunedinfineartcenter #johnbrittpottery #johnbrittworkshopsarefun #johnbritt #glazetest #glazes #glazeworkshops #glazework #ceramicglazetesting #ceramicmaterials #ceramicmaterialworkshop #pottery #pottery_lovers #potteryglazes #potteryglazemixing #potteryglaze #potteryglazetesting #potteryglazes

Wilson Page's 3D printed tile die.

Wilson Page made our 800 tiles score of the workshop and he did it with a 3D printer. First he made this original and then I will show you the die that he made.

Setting up tiles for a Cone 6 Glaze Workshop at Dunedin Fine Art Center tomorrow through Sunday. Should be a great time talking all things glazes! Thanks to Sara and Wilson Page for getting everything arranged! Looking forward to it! #dunedinfineartcenter #johnbrittpottery #johnbrittworkshopsarefun #johnbritt #glazetest #glazes #glazeworkshops #glazework #ceramicglazetesting #ceramicmaterials #ceramicmaterialworkshop #pottery #pottery_lovers #potteryglazes #potteryglazemixing #potteryglaze #potteryglazetesting #potteryglazes

My next workshop is in sunny Florida! Join us. A few spots open.

Got everyone working hard at the Roadrunner Ceramics glaze workshop in San Antonio! Special thanks to April Grunspan and Ron Wilson for setting everything up and making it happen.

Got a fun one coming up. Check it out on my website as well as a bunch of others.

Ice sculpture.

Don't know if you can see this, but I, like many potters, get these crack in my fingers from potting, especially in winter. Very painful. But recently saw my auto mechanic using super glue to "glue" the crack together. I tried it, worked pretty well. Little bit is all I needed. Not sure if it glued it together, but sealed the cut.

Leaves on ice.

Making second tier test tiles....fill that table or no dessert.

Ran the Plastic Vitrox Liner Base in the standard color blend. I will be taking these and 25 other colorblends down to Dunedin Art Center in February for a workshop. This will be a great workshop because it will allow us to run 25 other glazes in whatever we want during the workshop and still have 3000 tiles to look at for patterns in various oxides.

Another nice crawly effect from Spotted Glaze series.

Running a few more spotted glaze test...more tomorrow.

Few spots open in a Hands-on Cone 6 Glaze Workshop down in sunny Florida! We will talk about all things glazes - help you fill in the blanks. Pass it on to anyone you think would be interested. Thx!
