Ceramic Materials and Process Workshop

Having fun!

4th day of our Sculptural Surfaces Workshop at Blue Water Clay in San Pedro, CA (out side Los Angeles ). Fantastic time! #bluewaterclay #johnbrittworkshop # john.britt1 #ceramicsculpture #glazeworkshops #glazes

Glaze Chunk. Fired and cut with wet saw ( thanks Andy Palmer)

As you can probably assume, I'm not much of a skin care guy, but I got this cream from a potter in my class last weekend and it's actually awesome. I'm not making any money off of this either just so you know... it's just really good stuff. Caramaeskincare.com

Got a few spots left in a workshop outside of Los Angles next week. It's going to be very unique one where we're going to just explore sculptural surfaces for a week! We have 15 people so far but are hoping to get 20 participants so we can have more results to work with. Should be a lot of fun! If you don't mind, please share with your sculpture friends! Thx! #johnbrittworkshop #glazes #pottery #ceramics #sculpture #art #ceramicwor #ceramicsculpture #glazeworkshops #sculpturalsurfaces #bluewaterclay #cats

Sculptural Glaze Surfaces Workshop Feb 12-16, 2018

Just finished a glaze for workshop at The Village Potters in Asheville NC. Had 2500 tiles, various samples of unusual glazes, and a ceramic mineral collection.

Tea bowl, thrown, altered, John's Satin 2 Black, cone 6 electric.

Great turnout for the Glaze Class today. Had about 50 people. Did a few demos including a frit making demo. One more day!

Julie Johnson helping me set up at the Village Potters in Asheville for our big Workshop tomorrow ...getting excited.
